Flat Roof- IKO
Wood Fiber Products
IKO’s Wood Fiber Products are produced from select wood fibers, bonded together by heat, pressure and premium asphalt resin. All products are produced under rigid quality control at IKO’s facility in Calgary, Alberta. This facility has operated continuously since 1969 and is constantly upgraded to ensure that IKO Wood Fiber Products are manufactured to the highest standards.
Protectoboard
Protectoboard is composed of a mineral-fortified asphaltic core between two non-woven glass fiber mats. Protectoboard may be used as a coverboard over IKOTherm insulation, as a re-cover board in a re-roof installation, or any other application where it is used as a new substrate for a modified bitumen or BUR roofing membrane. Available in various thicknesses and board sizes.
Modiflex & Torchflex Tapes
Modiflex & Torchflex Roof Tapes are constructed using an inorganic reinforcing mat of durable, high strength non-woven glass fibers, which is coated and impregnated with SBS modified bitumen.
Modiflex’s top surface is sanded while its self-adhesive backing is covered with a silicone treated release film (easily removable during application). Used primarily as a fire tape to prevent the penetration of open flame into open joints, voids, gaps or holes in any new combustible substrates. Modiflex Roof Tapes are installed prior to the application of the torch-applied modified bitumen flashing membranes
